Interceptor Movie Explained. A lot of Spoilers Ahead. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, Allegedly as Israel Adesanya says. Firstly, Interceptor movie starts off with a nuclear attack that was taken place at United States Army Fort Greely, Missile Defence Complex. It would appear no one survived, except the attackers.
Captain J.J. Collins played by Elsa Pataky was helicoptered by the Navy to the Pacific Ocean. Apparently its 1500 miles Northwest of Hawaii. Location is classified. There was a scene where two Janitors, which appears to be Alexander and Dark Cloud. The two men were either painting or where waiting for something. Its safe to say that the audience knew something was fishy about them.
Captain J. J. Collins
Captain Collins was joining the remote missile interceptor station. She was greeted and shown around the department by Ensign Washington played by Belinda Jombwe. Ensign seemed super excited for Collins to be joining their force. Collins settled in her room and eventually met Luitenant Colonel Clark Marshall played by Rhys Muldoon. They had a few introduction. Though it would appear the other general Captain Welsh was not keen on Collins working with the team. Perhaps this was due to somethings they know about her.
At some point Marshall said they have an active shooter which happens to be one of theirs. They were seeing some signals and Marshall mentioned about some Russian Subs that has been nosing around for a few months. The US Subs chase them away but the Russian subs keep coming back.
The situation got worse and multiple casualties were confirmed. 16 missiles were stolen and thus the Nation is under attack. Out of no where they were attacked by Alexander and his men. Who happens to be the same men they walked passed earlier. Colonel Marshall didn’t make it as he was the first to be eliminated. Luckily, Collins escaped unscaved but she met a huge 6ft giant whose character name we do not know. We will refer to this no name guy as 6ft giant.
She fought and defeated the 6ft giant. Poking him in the eye with the open gun end. She melted some sort of iD badge that gives access to the missile launch room. She found herself trapped in between the corridors of the missile launch centre. Corporal Rahul Shah and Beaver Baker were all trapped with Collins. It would appear Beaver was knocked out as the bullet grazed him. Though we find out later on it was a complete hoax as he was part of Alexander’s team.
The good and The bad (Interceptor Movie Explained)
There was a few back and forth in exchange of words and threats between Alexander and Collins. They were randomly attacked again by another mercenary Dark Cloud played by Ali Kadhim. Collins ended up shooting him with a shotgun that could have exploded backwards.
It eventually turns out that Beaver is working with Alexander the whole time and thus Beaver shoots Collins and Rahul on the chest. Luckily they were both wearing bullet proof vest. He opens the door for Alexander and the other team members.
Collins was able to quickly defend the base by quickly locking out Alexander and Beaver in the corridor. Inside, she was attacked by Holly Simmons played by Riley Dandy but took her out 3 times. Holly wouldn’t seem to go out without a bang. But Collins took her out eventually. She also intercepted the missle launched by Alexander with about 4 minutes remaining. Los Angeles was saved.
We cut to the scene where Alexander is holding Collins dad as a bargaining chip and ends up killing him as she wouldn’t open the door. Alexander discovers he can sink the whole base deep into the water and uses Marshall fingers tip and badge to get access to the laptop and he launched the the timer for the base to sink which was then 12 minutes exactly.
Collins and Rahul discovered a way to increase the base timer before it sinks. Rahul dies whilst increasing the time before the whole base sinks. Alexander and Beaver team up again taking the base. Collins fights back and finds a way to put out the last 15 missiles launched against multiple cities in US. She nearly drowned after Beaver was eliminated with what appears to be some type of cable metal wire. A very gruesome way to go out.
She manages to swim back and climb back into the base with only one hand. 60 seconds left whilst the rest of the special forces communicating watches on in horror. Ofcourse this includes the TV salesman played by Chris Hemsworth as a cameo. She manages to press the interceptor launch pad at exactly one seconds left. The city was saved. A bunch of people were gathered at the city watching multiple screens as the horror unfolds everywhere but where also able to see the missiles intercepted just in time.
Alexander came up to Collins and they fought. Even with one hand, she was able to do some damage. The russian submarine which was Alexander’s get away ride came up and Alexander was eliminated by another shooter on the sub whilst it appears the man standing on the sub said good buy to Collins with a nod. Collins was at the hospital. The president visited her and gave her a job at the intelligence for her bravery and for saving America. She seemed delighted.
Collins dad turns out to be alive as he has his own army of friends and they apparently intercepted his location and saved him. He visited the hospital and brought her Rahul’s turtle. The hospital room was surrounded with flowers and thank you cards.
