Sweet Girl Plot Explained, Isabela Merced must Avenge Her Family.
From the get go Sweet Girl draws a lot of dramatic scenes to the heart and its story that it portrays is absolutely true and heart felt. It reminds you instantly of the life journey we are all encompassed to.
Note, families in the real world already go through these type of crisis from health issues, to financial and marital problems and the list goes on.

Jason Momoa who plays Ray Cooper moans his wife as she is slowly dying of cancer. The doctor gave them good news as a type of bone marrow treatment is on the way.
The treatment plan went sideways for Ray and his daughter Isabela Merced as Rachel Cooper after finding out that the company responsible decided to scrap the treatment indefinitely. Both father and mother had to moan their loss at the hospital.
The pharmaceutical company that is involved in delivering this treatment happens to air on TV and Ray gave them a call and threatened the boss.
Ray decided to go chasing this people and only for him to end up like his wife also in front of his daughter at the train station platform.
We believe this particular scene broke Rachel Cooper and she had a mental and psychological breakdown that the audience watching didn’t notice or pick up on until towards the end of the movie.
Rachel went on to avenge her mother and father. She trained hard and planned how she was going to execute her missions. Watching her emerge victorious from her missions might remind audience of the series called Hanna which is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
During the revenge stages you see Jason Momoa doing all the work and protecting his daughter at all cost.
Towards the end of the movie the police officer Lex Scott Davis who played as FBI Detective Sarah Meeker kept repeating the words “Say Your Name” to Rachel.
At this moment Rachel then came to her senses and realised she is the one that has been avenging everything believing it was her dad.
We believe Rachel kept her dad alive in her mind because this was all she could see and believed when she was knocked out and as she was passing out.

So when she woke up she absolutely believed she was talking to her dad as she would have conversations with him and he would respond in her mind. But this whole time he’s been dead all along.
Fans felt sorry for Rachel particular and incredibly sad for her family and the life she had and the fact that she is now on her own with no family, no father nor mother.
But bringing justice to both of them gave her clarity and sense of life to stay alive and strong for them both.
